SWIM TEAM

Monday – Thursday 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Swim Ninjas© (Ages 6-12) is designed for young swimmers who are ready to build confidence in the water while developing the foundational skills of swimming. With a fun, energetic approach, swimmers focus on improving stroke technique, body awareness, and water safety. The goal is to create strong, confident swimmers who are comfortable in the pool and excited to take the next step in their aquatic journey. After swimmers have learned basic freestyle and backstroke and can swim 25 yards unassisted of both, SwimNinjas© focuses on:

•Increasing leg strength

•Building endurance

•Learning bilateral breathing

•Proper wall push-offs

•Racing starts

•Independence

•Personal responsibility

•Listening w/other swimmers in the water at the same time

•Being part of something bigger than ones’ self

•Additional strokes (per physical development)

TurboSWIM© (Ages 7-16) is the next step after Ninjas and is designed to help kids ages 7-14 who are strong swimmers in both freestyle and backstroke, and want to build endurance and refine their swim skills further in order to:

  • pass the swim test necessary to register for Jr. Lifeguards
  • join a competitive swim team or water polo program
  • use swim as cross-training for their other sports
  • swim for fitness
